Terms of service

Effective September 12, 2026. An agreement between you and Rongduan Zhu.

These terms cover your use of Cozibud at https://cozibud.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

Not medical advice

Cozibud is a record-keeping tool. It stores what you enter and does arithmetic on it. Summaries, trends and growth percentiles are calculations over your own records against published reference data; they are not a diagnosis, a screening result or medical advice, and neither are the answers an AI assistant gives on top of them. Nothing here substitutes for a clinician. If you are worried about your child, contact a health professional, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.

Your account

You must be an adult and legally able to enter this agreement. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

Inviting a caregiver to your household gives them access to that household's records. Invite only people you intend to have it. Where a child's information is involved, you confirm you have the authority to record and share it.

Your data stays yours

You keep every right you have in the records you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them so the service can run, and to keep encrypted backups. We do not use your records to train models and we do not sell them. You can export everything, and delete it, from within the app.

Assistant connections

You may connect an AI assistant. Each connection needs your explicit consent, grants only the permissions you approve, and can be revoked at any time. What an assistant does with your records once it receives them is governed by that provider's own terms. Assistants can be wrong: check anything that matters against the records themselves.

Acceptable use

Do not use Cozibud to break the law, to store data about someone without the right to do so, to attack or overload the service, to work around its limits or access controls, or to reach another household's records. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and we may discontinue the service; if we do, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — the export exists for this.

Payment

Paid plans, where offered, are billed in advance through Stripe on the interval shown at purchase and renew until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves access in place until the paid period ends. Prices may change with notice before the next renewal.

If your initial paid subscription purchase does not meet your needs, contact rongduan.zhu@gmail.com within 30 days of that purchase to request a full refund. This applies to the initial purchase of either the monthly or annual plan. Any additional refund rights required by applicable law remain in place.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as permitted.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or a free account after a long period of inactivity, with notice where practical. Deletion follows the recovery window described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Washington State, United States.
